Services to Extend the Life of Your Pool

Filter Cleaning

RED-E-2-Swim recommends that we clean your filters twice each year.  Debris, leaves, tanning oils, animals, and heavy pool use can put stress on internal filter parts.

If the pressure gauge of your cartridge system filter is  between 7-10 points over normal running pressure, you need to have our experts clean your filter. If we can't lower the pressure on your Diatomaceous Earth filter after multiple back-washings, our experts will advise you that it is time to clean your main filter.

The RED-E-2-Swim team pays close attention each week to ensure that debris has not started to return to pool because it can cause issues with the booster pump, burst a screen or clog the pool cleaner's water management system. Water has a tendency to circulate much slower when a dirty compacted filter needs to be cleaned and it can cause debris to sink lay on the bottom of the pool and attract algae.

Pool Start-up

Do you have a brand new pool or did you just have your pool replastered? The most critical next step is to follow the correct Pool Start-Up Process. The process takes 5-7 days. Our team will:

  1. Clear out calcium carbonate from the pool. As the pool plaster cures, calcium carbonate forms on the surface and needs to be properly brushed or vacuumed out.
  2. Test the water and chemical balance with an Initial Water Test and Treatment.  This is so important because plaster cures through chemical reaction.
  3. Monitor the pool’s PH level throughout the filling process to ensure that there is no scaling on your new finish.
  4. Test all filters and equipment.
  5. Provide guidance on water chemistry and maintenance after the project.

Power Wash & Acid Wash

Gunite pools that accommodate can get dirty over time. We suggest that pool owners conduct a thorough power washing cleaning procedure in your pool. Pressure washing is only recommended for concrete and plaster pools.  It will prevent the accumulation of algae and clear out any dirt particles that a pool vacuum misses.

This process includes:

  1. Draining the pool.
  2. Brushing and gently sweeping the empty pool.
  3. Wetting the pool surface and applying cleaner.
  4. Power washing the sides, then bottom of the pool.

If your pool has staining or discoloration, We can perform an acid wash to remove the surface staining, scaling, or discoloration.

Green-to-Clean

Being Green- friendly is good - except when it is pool water. Green water means you have an Algae invasion.  Any chemical imbalance helps that algae grow.  If you have a green pool, we suggest you not try to shock the pool yourself and cause further harm. We will come out and follow a proven process to bring your pool from Green-to-Clean. In severe cases, where your water is green or black, and cloudy,  it is quicker, easier and more cost-effective to simply drain the pool and have it acid-washed.

External Vacuuming

If you have lots of leaves, twigs, mulch pieces or sand in your pool, we suggest that you get your pool power vacuumed. This can save you a great deal of money and keep you from damaging your standard Polaris vacuum.

Our power vacuum can help keep algae and dirt from accumulating on the pool walls and floors.

A Smart Way to Monitor pH

The RED-E-2-Swim team uses the latest technology to monitor and test your pool. We continuously measure the pH, sanitizer and water temperature.  Our technology allows us to measure TA, TH, and CYA as needed and provides history charts. If a pool owner purchases the pHin, it will alert the REDE-2-Swim team and the pool owner when the water needs an adjustment.

Using the latest technology can help ensure that your pool is kept at optimal pH to protect swimmers and  lengthen the life of your plaster and pool equipment.
